W238 - Narrow Passive House
Our Narrow Passive House aims to use natural materials to nestle this Passive House between two imposing developments.
Dividing walls will be kept to a minimum for flexible use and quality daylighting. The rooms will be tied together with rounded edges on the door and window trim and a stair screen made of walnut dowels. The motif will extend outdoors, expressed through the black locust balusters on the rear deck.

Concrete tile and walnut floors will age and develop their own stories over time, like the lifetime collection of global mementos the home will display.

Foam Free insulation like cork and sheeps wool will be used to minimize the embodied carbon of the renovation.
Motorized window blinds and an operable pergola will shade the rear deck and reduce unwanted solar gain within the building.
